Topical Skin Rejuvenation

Topical creams for prevention and reduction of fine lines available in-office include Refissa® and M.D. Forté®, Revalé, creams as well as other product lines which change depending on our favorite available products. Dark spots (lentigos) can be removed with cryosurgery using liquid nitrogen or can be treated with lightening creams including hydroquinone of varying strengths. Dr. Kamell also offers chemical peels of varying strengths to even out skin pigmentation and reduce surface irregularities.

Injectable Skin Rejuvenation

Dr. Kamell, Dr. Bodnar and Dr. Rietkerk offer treatment with Botox® and Dysport® for diminishing fine lines around the eyes, in the frown area, and on the forehead. Restylane®, Perlane®, and Juvéderm™ are used for filling in nasolabial fold lines, frown lines, acne scars, indentations and surgical scars. Both physicians are skilled in producing natural, predictable results.

Light/ Laser Treatments

Dr. Kamell offers Intense Pulsed Light treatment via the Vasculight Laser for the treatment of blood vessels of the face, irregular mottling of the skin and the removal of pigmented spots. Dr. Kamell also offers deeper resurfacing using a carbon dioxide (CO2) laser. Procedure time, recovery, and cost vary depending on the size and condition of the area being treated.

All three doctors also offer Photodynamic Therapy. This modality of treatment (also called “Blue-U Treatment”) is used for widespread or diffuse precancerous cells (actinic keratoses) but has the secondary benefit of skin rejeuvenation. We use a photosensitizing agent called Levulan which is activated with the correct wavelength of light to treat the lesions. The medicine then kills the precancerous cells. Your doctor can discuss these options in greater detail with you to help you determine which is best suited for your needs.

Varicose Veins

Dr. Kamell offers sclerotherapy for treatment of superficial leg veins. The Vasculight Laser may also be considered depending on the patient’s unique needs.

Latisse
